My name is Brian Elliott and I have been taking photographs for the past 8 years, ever since I bought my 1.3 mega pixel Sony Cybershot. I acquired the camera to take photos for a website I was publishing for my local football (soccer) club, Village United.
I slowly learnt about the basics and realized the tons of stuff one has to learn to become a pro.
Eager to learn more, in 2004, I stepped up to a 4 mega pixel Canon G3. This camera served me well until 2007, I decided to step up to the DSLR world with a Nikon D40. My gallery has pictures covering my entire years of learning and shows what a slow learner I am.
My photos are mainly about life in my town, but my site will feature content that everyone can relate to.
I fell in love with Flickr in 2007 and since then I have grown to appreciate how much I still have to learn to catch up with the pros. That has made photography even more of an obsession and I have since become more determined to improve my work. My Flickr photos can be seen here.
Dejagib is dedicated to my three children as it is taken from all three middle names: DEMAR, JAANTJE AND GIBRAN (in order of seniority).
This site is dedicated to my passions and looks at photography from an amateur’s point of view, featuring what amateurs will be looking for to reach the next level.
Big up to my teams Arsenal FC, Village United FC, Miami Heats, William Knibb Memorial High, Calabar High.
