A walk in Falmouth

Falmouth Gutter

Went to buy some fruits from my friend, Jellyman a while ago and took these two shots. This first one is of Falmouth’s ancient liquid waste disposal gutter system that has served the town since being founded in the 18th century. It is very efficient, ridding the town of water almost immediately after rainfall. It is only since human settlement on wetlands (dumping) and the building of a highway that the town is experiencing flooding. One wonders though if environmentally unfriendly chemicals are reaching the sea via these gutters, causing Falmouth’s relatively low fishing loads.

Apple Cart

I liked the contrast between the richly colored apples and the background.
